I don’t like driving.
Sure, I was excited to get my driving license when I was 16 years old (like most Americans do) and loved driving for quite a while, but something happened when I was 22 years old or so….I discovered public transportation (in San Francisco). I then realized that it was possible to go from place to place without driving, and haven’t liked driving ever since. Sure, I’ve done a lot of it in my life, but haven’t owned a car for many years and never plan to again.
I prefer trains of any kind (commuter, long distance, etc) to busses, but city busses are fine. I don’t like long distance bus rides, but prefer them to driving.
Granted, I do drive a few times a week for my current job and also to the launderette and other places from time to time, but it doesn’t mean I enjoy it.
